for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories,

certification and inspection bodies. A not-for-profit company.
UKAS accreditation demonstrates the integrity and competence of organizations providing calibration,
testing, inspection and certification services.
One significant advantage of UKAS accreditation is the ability for evaluators to sell services that
are recognized internationally. It is important for products tested in the U.K. to be accepted in
Europe and world wide without the need for additional testing.
UKAS is recognized internationally through European and world multilateral recognition agreements.
This recognition enables governments to use accredited bodies to meet obligations under word trading agreements.
