      Ukas is the sole national body recognized by government for the accreditation of testing and calibration laboratories,
certification and inspection bodies. A not-for-profit company.

      UKAS accreditation demonstrates the integrity and competence of organizations providing calibration, testing, inspection and certification services.

One significant advantage of UKAS accreditation is the ability for evaluators to sell services that are recognized internationally. It is important for products tested in the U.K. to be accepted in Europe and world wide without the need for additional testing.

      UKAS is recognized internationally through European and world multilateral recognition agreements. This recognition enables governments to use accredited bodies to meet obligations under word trading agreements.

＋ Brief Introduction of ISO9001

      ISO/TC176 issued the first version of ISO9001 QMS standard in 1987, the second version in 1994 and the third version in Dec.2000, which is known as ISO9001:2000 and is based on 8 management principles. Meanwhile, the ISO9001:2000 standard is more flexible and compatible than the previous 2 versions.
